The Triund and Lahesh Cave trek starts through the Tibetan settlements of Mcleodganj. Walk through the markets of Mcleodganj and stroll thorough the quaint village of Dharamkot on a motorable road. As the road ends at Gallu, a mountain trail flanked by forests of Oak, Rhododendron and Deodhar trees begins.
It’s an easy trail till the summit with small picturesque tea-stalls on the way. Just when you think the last stretch is getting tiring, be prepared to be wow-ed by an unassumingly beautiful view of the Mun Peak. Spend a night camping under the stars overlooking the majestic Dhauladhars on one side and the vast expanse of the Kangra Valley on the other.

On the second day of the Triund and Lahesh Caves Trek , ascend from Triund for 3-4 hours to the Lahesh Cave. The trail is well defined till the Snowline café, after which the trail begins to dwindle. The last few kilometres is a steep ascent, before you find yourself in the Lahesh Caves. Prepare to spend your second night completely in the wild, but still in the comforts of a warm, secure tent.
